Raising Jasey Rae

Mum life

Jasey’s first beach trip.

Last Thursday through Saturday, my mum, Davis, and myself took Jasey to the Coast for her first time. We got there pretty late Thursday night and after some moving around, we ended up at my uncle Dony’s in Cambria.

Friday morning we woke up to the ocean right outside the windows and Dony made us a big breakfast. Jasey watched me and her dad play some guitar but was still getting used to her surroundings so she was a bit fussy.

We spent a lot of the morning at the beach. Jasey was not having it at first until she finally took a nap on the beach and perked up.

Later we had lunch in Morro Bay and shopped in SLO. Jasey was perfectly content being carried by her dad in the baby carrier all day. (The girl loves to shop)

Saturday was Jasey’s cousin, Jude’s first birthday party. (The reason we came to the coast in the first place) We got to see a lot of Jasey and Davis’ family.

Before we left we ate lunch and walked around the AG village.

Already can’t wait till our next trip to the coast!

Jasey’s first Easter.

So Jasey girl had quite the eventful weekend. First, Saturday morning (the day before Easter) we went to Visalia to have an Egg hunt at Gaga and Papa’s church. Her cousins, Paige and Jude were there and her auntie Jenna and uncle Matt.

Sunday morning I gave Jasey her Easter basket. One of many. (Her grandmas made sure she had baskets full of goodies too)

Then we went to church at Northside and she got to see her Pop Pop play guitar on stage. Afterwards we went home and had some family over for lunch. She watched her Pop Pop BBQ, ate banana puffs while talking to Gaga and Papa, and sang and relaxed with a very full tummy.

My favorite Easter yet!

First Zoo trip

Today me and Jeni took Jasey on her first zoo trip. We figured the weather was too nice today to just go to the neighborhood park like usual.

When we first got there she wasn’t too sure about it. The orangoutangs were some of the first and we were cracking up at her reaction to them. (Super serious and trying to figure them out.)

Not to mention her skeptical glare at the copper statues.

But by the time we got to the bear she perked right up!

And she loved watching the sea lions who seemed to especially like her. (They swam by Jasey the entire time we were watching them)

So even though most of the animals were sleeping and Jasey didn’t fully understand everything, I know she had fun and so did I! It was nice doing something different for a change. And good company is what made this little day trip a memorable one.

Jasey’s first Valentines Day

For Jasey’s first Valentines Day I figured I’d cover all the bases. So I made her a “bouquet” of bibs and onesies. I’m thinking I’ll make this a tradition. (Clothes or something like it to replace flowers.) Flowers are fun but you only have them for about a week or so! And of course, she needs a stuffed animal and a book.

Best Valentine I’ve ever had.. :)
